The Almeria greenhouse consortium has become the principle supplier of fresh vegetables and fruits for the European Union (EU). Approximately 60% of the population across the EU consumes a product from Almeria greenhouses and packing plants daily.

This new approach has evolved from traditional agricultural practices which have historically always been restricted by food sectors, weather conditions, seasons and soil quality.
